#self portrait deals with the current paradigm with self image curation and image prettification on instagram, one of the leading services providers of social networking service. I aimed to comment on the prevalent self image exhibition of today and the romanticisation of it through presentation of everyday objects on a white wall, lit through glowing yellow fabric. Every aspect on the installation has been carefully arranged, and in many part, colour coded to grab viewer's attention. However, placement of a body changes the entire dynamic of the piece, pushing the eye from the colourfully decorated to an unidentified human lying on the ground.
